Anne Sado joined George Brown College as President in 2004, after a long and successful career as a telecommunications executive. Anne currently sits on the board of Legacy Private Trust. She has previously held positions on several not-for-profit boards, including as chair of several, such as ORION, Trillium Health Centre, the Toronto Region Board of Trade, Colleges Ontario, Polytechnics Canada, the YWCA of Greater Toronto and Junior Achievement of Peel Region. Anne was inducted into the University of Toronto’s prestigious Engineering Hall of Distinction in 2010 and was awarded the Ontario Professional Engineers Citizenship Award in 2001 and Gold Medal in 2007. Anne has also received the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals for her work in the community. Anne holds a Bachelor of Applied Science as well as a Masters of Business Administration – both from University of Toronto. She was awarded a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from the University of Toronto in June 2011. Anne has been named one of WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2014. She is a Member of the Order of Canada – June 2013. In 2018, Anne was appointed Honorary Colonel of the Governor General’s Horse Guards.

Anne has been a member of the board since 2012, and chairs the board.
